Reunion Island is a scenic and canyoning paradise. Located in the Indian Ocean east of Madagascar, it belongs to the Mascarene archipelago, a French overseas department.
This natural paradise has become a high-level spot for canyoning. The size and technical level of its canyons makes it a worldwide reference.
Several of its most famous canyons are the TAKAMAKA and the great TROU DE FER, known as the most technical canyon in the world. Programa
DAY 1: Pick up rental car, arrangements and transfer to Cilaos.
DAY2: Canyon BRAS ROUGE intermediate and lower (V5 A4 III).
DAY3: Canyon of FLEUR JAUNE integral (V4 A4 IV).
DAY 4: Transfer to Salazie.
DAY5 and 6: Canyon of TROU DE FER (V6 A5 V).
DAY 7: Rest. Visit Piton de Fournaise.
DAY 8: TAKAMAKA canyon (V5 A6 IV).
DAY 9: TROU BLANC canyon (V3 A5 III).
DAY 10: Extra day.

Here ends our program but we have the option to spend more days doing other canyons and the ascent to the Piton de Neige (3.071m). Contact us click here.

The quotations are made for groups from 1 to 4 people per guide, for security and fluidity in the activities due to their high level and great length in some of them. For any questions or reservations you can write us by clicking here.
- Because the Barranco del Trou de Fer is catalogued as the most difficult canyon or one of the most difficult canyons in the world, Guías Roca y Agua does it with two guides per group, for the safety of everyone. The maximum number of people to be able to do it is 4 participants + the two guides, due to their level and stays in the meetings suspended in the waterfall of almost 300 meters.
- In case of a group of more than 4 people we can evaluate options. For this issue you can call us or contact us by clicking here.
- A 3-day canyoning training in Spain is required before the trip. Not included in the price.
- Possibility of extending the program for more days.
- Canyoning and mountain guide qualified according to the regulated training in Spain and Europe for each specialty (Canyoning Guide / Mountain Guide UIMLA and / or UIAGM).
- Knowledgeable of the area perfectly, both the activities, villages, areas and businesses of Reunion Island.
- The guide speaks French for a better development and stay of the trip.
IMPORTANT
- It is essential to know how to swim.
- Before making this trip it is essential to do several level 3 and 4 canyons with us. Where individual progression techniques will be explained.
- Maximum groups according to the level of the activity. The ratios are stipulated by security according to level and area.
- The guide may decide not to continue the activity for the safety of the group due to weather, terrain conditions or physical condition of any of the group members.
- Participants will be able to use their own technical equipment if they have it under previous evaluation of the guide. The price of the activity will not vary.
- Although the participants are insured by our accident and civil liability insurance, it is mandatory to be a member of a mountain federation.
WE REPEAT:
- For this reason and for the safety of the group and the guide(s), it will be mandatory to do at least 2 to 3 canyoning trips together in Spain before the trip. At that time Roca y Agua Guides will evaluate the technical level of the group and will decide if the trip will take place or not.
- We recommend a good preparation and physical conditions adequate to the effort and slope to be made, because if you are not well prepared, your expectations in this activity, as well as those of the group, may be frustrated. This may lead to make decisions during the program for the safety of the whole group.
