It is not essential, although it is advisable to have an intermediate level of mountain biking. There are routes adapted for both experienced riders and those who are just starting out in enduro.
The ideal is a full suspension bike prepared for technical terrain, demanding descents and rocky sections. You can also rent one in the valley if you don't have your own.
It is mandatory to wear a helmet, gloves, knee protection and, preferably, elbow protection. It is also recommended to carry water, basic tools, cell phone with GPS and sun protection.
Spring, summer and early fall are ideal. Avoid the winter months due to snow at high altitudes and the risk of adverse weather conditions.
